Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 12, 2026
Henny Lash is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want all visitors to be able to learn about our services, read our content, and contact us easily regardless of ability.
Our Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the Level AA standard. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What We Do
We have taken the following steps to support accessibility on our website:
- Semantic HTML: Our pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic elements to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements — links, buttons, and forms — are accessible via keyboard without requiring a mouse.
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios.
- Responsive Design: The site adapts to different screen sizes and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content.
- Alternative Text: Images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so screen readers skip them.
- Form Labels: All form fields have associated labels so they are properly announced by assistive technologies.
- Structured Data: We use schema.org markup and breadcrumb navigation to help search engines and assistive tools understand our content.
- Language Declaration: The page language is declared in the HTML to support proper pronunciation by screen readers.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full conformance, we are aware of the following areas where accessibility may be limited:
- Photographs: Some portfolio images of lash extension results may have limited alt text descriptions. We are working to improve descriptions over time.
- Third-Party Content: Elements loaded from external services (translation widget, trust badge) may have accessibility characteristics outside our direct control.
- Digital Waiver: Our online waiver form relies on a digital signature interface that may be challenging for some assistive technologies. If you need an alternative way to complete the waiver, please contact us and we will accommodate you.
